Overview
This guide covers setup standards for SUNMI D2s KDS kitchen displays in Chively. Some teams refer to this model as DS2 KDS.
Before you begin
- Confirm the device model is SUNMI D2s KDS.
- Verify kitchen mounting location, splash exposure, and cable routing path.
- Confirm FOH-to-BOH order routing is already configured in Chively.
Steps
- Mount or position the KDS where kitchen staff can read and interact without blocking prep space.
- Connect network and power, then verify stable uptime before shift start.
- Launch Chively KDS workflow and confirm incoming tickets from a front-of-house test order.
- Validate ticket actions (start, bump, complete) and real-time sync back to FOH.
- Test touch interaction with gloved-hand scenarios used by your kitchen team.
- Confirm brightness and contrast settings for hot-line visibility conditions.
- Document the recovery process for temporary network interruptions.

Notes for support teams
