Overview

Use this guide when a thermal receipt printer stops feeding paper, jams repeatedly, or leaves the cutter stuck.

Applies to models sold by Chively

  • Sunmi 80mm Receipt Printer
  • POS Bank A11 Printer (Black/White)
  • Integrated 80mm printers on Sunmi T3 Pro Max, Sunmi P3 Mix, Sunmi P3 Air, and Sunmi P3H

Before you begin

  • Power off the printer before opening covers.
  • Confirm you are using the correct roll width and paper type.
  • Keep tweezers and a lint-free cloth available for cleaning.

Steps

  1. Open the printer cover and remove the paper roll.
  2. Check for torn scraps near the printhead path and cutter slot, then remove all debris.
  3. Inspect the cutter path for a partially cut receipt and gently clear it without forcing blades.
  4. Clean the paper path and printhead area with a dry lint-free cloth.
  5. Reload paper so it feeds straight with the edge aligned to the guide channel.
  6. Close the cover firmly until it clicks into place.
  7. Power on and run a printer self-test to confirm normal feed and cutting.
  8. If jams continue, replace the roll with a new one from a known-good batch.
  9. If the cutter still stalls, schedule service for cutter module inspection.

Verification

  • Paper feeds smoothly for at least three test receipts.
  • Cutter completes full cuts without tearing.
  • No paper-end or cover-open warnings appear unexpectedly.
